Best Beaches to Visit in Uluwatu

Although Bali is home to so many gorgeous beaches, Uluwatu is home to some of the island's most breathtaking coastlines. Uluwatu is located on Bali's southernmost tip, on the Bukit Peninsula. There's more to this place than just its stunning cliffside temple and mischievous monkey dwellers. Those are the gorgeous beaches.

Uluwatu's beaches are stunning! Uluwatu is the type of spot where it's difficult not to channel your inner beach hunter with its laid-back atmosphere, majestic cliffs, tropical ocean, and the softest white sand under the sun. There are some of the must-visit beaches that are worth visiting during your time in Bali.

Padang - Padang Beach

One of Uluwatu's most stunning beaches, Padang Padang (the renowned Eat, Pray, Love beach), is deserving of a place on your Bali itinerary list. The beach is located in Pecatu Village in the southwestern corner of Bali. Numerous surfing contests are held here each year, and it has some of the greatest surfing on the island. Padang Padang is the go-to surfing location in Bali, but its main attraction is in its surroundings. To reach the beach, you have to climb a significant amount of stairs and squeeze through a narrow opening in a limestone cave. You're likely to encounter monkeys along the journey, so keep your valuables hidden.

Dreamland Beach

Every aspect of what you envision a Bali beach to be is personified in Dreamland. All at once, it's spotless, enticing, entertaining, and soothing. In addition to the typical beach activities like swimming, surfing, and tanning, you can also receive a soothing massage at one of the hotels behind the beach. Part of the appeal of Dreamland is that it is always dreamy without ever being overly crowded. Even though the beach lacks any shade, it does have beach chairs and umbrellas. You have no reason not to spend the entire day at this gorgeous beach as restaurants and hawkers stalls provide delectable meals, ice-cold Bintangs, and fresh juice. There are also complimentary freshwater bathrooms and showers.

Melasti Beach

At the bottom of a tall cliff, there is a stunning beach known as Melasti Beach. This beach, one of the greatest in the Ungasan area, is distinguished by its unpolluted turquoise waters. Melasti Beach is a great place to swim since the waves are not too high and the tide is not too powerful. Don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear if you love to see underwater creatures since the pure water in the sea makes it possible to see a variety of underwater species. Melasti is quickly rising to the top of the list of south Bali's most visited beaches, particularly among locals and tourists from Asia.

Pandawa Beach

Pandawa Beach in Bali is the perfect place to take the family for a fun day at the beach. This white-sand beach on the warm seas of the Indian Ocean is about 30 minutes drive from the resort area of Nusa Dua and will not disappoint. Pandawa Beach, one of the region's safest beaches, is guarded by lifeguards and protected by an outer reef. The beach is lined with rows of sun loungers and umbrellas, with hawker stalls, cafés, and market booths behind it. In addition to getting a massage or pedicure from one of the numerous hawkers on the beach, Mum and Dad may unwind with a refreshing beverage. Meanwhile, the children would be too busy with canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding on the turquoise ocean.

Jimbaran Beach

Although Jimbaran is officially outside of Uluwatu, you should add it to your must-visit list since it is relatively close to Uluwatu. Jimbaran Bay is well-known for its affordable and delectable grilled seafood dishes served directly on the beach, making it one of Bali's best locations for watching the sunset. While the sunset (and seafood) are a must-try, Jimbaran is also a great area to chill out during the day with your group of friends. There is plenty of space to lounge under a beach umbrella or play in the sand even though the sand is more of a golden shade than white. If you grow tired of lying on the beach, take a relaxing plunge in the warm waves or try windsurfing. While the water is quite gentle during low tide and a fantastic place for children to swim, high tide season provides some nice possibilities for mellow surfing. Jimbaran is the perfect location for beginner surfers because the waves aren't as aggressive there.
